Original Sound Track ‘Experience’

This is a label text variant of the original UK release.

There is no stereo indication printed on the center labels,
only on the front sleeve.

On spine: Original Sound Track ‘Experience’ Jimi Hendrix

On front cover: Original Sound Track From The Feature Length Motion Picture “Experience”

On center labels: Original Soundtrack Of The Motion Picture “Experience”

On the labels and on front cover, “Experience” appears much bigger, so the rest is a subtitle.

The cover specifies “Recorded on 18 February 1969 in London’s Royal Albert Hall during the shooting of the film Experience”, but in fact we know that this date is wrong : the songs are all from the performance on February 24 1969 (“Jimi Hendrix : Electric Gypsy”, Shapiro & Glebeek, 1990, p. 538 ; “Hendrix, Setting the record straight” McDermott & Kramer, 1992, p. 334)
Released in a non-laminated gatefold sleeve.
